A2 Spanish readings
These 10 A2 readings run from 236 to 321 words, about 2 minutes each. They cover culture (2), daily life (2), fiction (2), nature (2), science (1) and travel (1).
A2 is the elementary level. A learner can follow sentences about the things closest to everyday life and can handle simple, direct exchanges. Compared with A1, Xolingo’s A2 texts are longer and tie events together: what happened, why, and in what order.
Several of them move into the Spanish past tense alongside the present, and the small linking words (pero, después, cuando, primero) do more work in holding a story together. The vocabulary is still everyday, but a text now asks you to hold a few sentences in your head at once.
Xolingo grades these texts itself, using the CEFR descriptors as a guide. It is not an exam, and reading them does not certify a level. If an A2 text feels like too much, drop back to A1; if it feels comfortable, try a B1 reading in the app.
